Put Me in the Zoo!

Brandon has been studying a book called Land Animals of the Sixth Day published by Apologia for science. We really love Apologia books as they not only support our belief in a literal 6 day creation but they are funny and creative books as well! It is sometimes hard to find science books that actually teach creation, even though God is the ULTIMATE scientist! So we are very excited about these books! They don't just say God created the world and life they give scientific proof! These aren't the only books we've found that support creation but they are probably the best as far as teaching to the age, having beautiful pictures, and being very fun to read.

Well, ,the suggested project at the end of one of our recent chapters is building a zoo out of clay and other items you may have laying around....right up Brandon's alley :) He got to work right away and this is what he made in a very short time:




My photos don't do it justice..he really did a great job and had so much fun! He used Lincoln Logs and Legos for the zoo structures and clay for the animals. Did you see that monkey?! And his turtle had a removeable shell so you could see the soft body underneath! What a great job!
