Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle

Yesterday, our co-op had a field trip to see a play based on the book series, Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. When we found out on Wednesday that all three little kids had strep, we almost dropped out, but we were told that they wouldn't be contagious after 24 hours on the antibiotics so we started them up that night so everyone would be able to go. (We dosed the boys from Megan's prescription because the pharmacy couldn't find theirs! UGH!) We had a great time! We've had Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle on our bookshelves since Kristen was in first grade so this was really a treat! (Kristen was disappointed that she couldn't go. Darn college!)

Here's the set. It's blurry, but you get the idea. Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle lives in an upside down house and all the kids in the town love her! She has cures for whatever trouble kids are getting into like "the fighter/quarreler cure", "answer-backer cure", "Cry-baby cure", and what was the other one? "Won't take a bather cure" or "radish cure"? I can't remember which it was called. Very funny stuff!
Everywhere we go, our kids sit with Margot's kids :)
Such sweet friendships there :)

Angi, you were missed! Thank you for setting up this field trip! Everyone had a great time :)

  1. My kids had a great time too! The girls had just been talking about the Radish cure that morning hoping it would be in the play. Kyle and Ethan were happy to see all of you, Brandon was missed in Kyle's classes! Of course he was delighted to see Megan too, his extra little sister!

  2. Oh WOW! You guys had a BIG theater! Normally we're in a small, very intimate setting but that looked HUGE!

I'm so glad everyone had a good time and I hated to miss it! (You definitely had a better day than I did, THAT post is coming but I'm still recovering from Calamity Creux.)

Glad your gang is feeling much better!!!
