O.K. so this week, Nicholas' fish, Cow, died. He was a little feeder fish Mrs. Slone gave him in class well over a year ago. He lived happily munching bread crumbs in a bowl in our kitchen. We had a funeral for him. Nick cried, Megan cried. They were heartbroken. Then we had a turtle for a day but we were afraid to keep it since some animals don't do so well in captivity. We let him go. Megan cried again. Sooooo....
If you take three kids to the pet store to replace a pet, you will come home with three pets ;) Meet Cow Jr. (Nick's; the white one with a red head), Mrs. Cow (Megan's; the dark orange one), and Comet (Brandon's; the light orange one). They are all now occupying Cow's bowl and munching on bread crumbs :)

I know a lot of children wish the lifespan of a fish was much longer! It would make for less tears!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I'm so sorry about your loss :)
ReplyDeleteAnd second of all, WHOSE FISH LIVES THAT LONG????
Certainly not any fish in MY house!
And I think it's great that you have new babies!
Congratulate the parents for me :)
