The location has changed to one that lets our class go off-trail so we had the chance to explore a new park. We took off on the trails with Cathy and Sarah. It's really a beautiful park! I can't wait to go back next week!
We saw several of these caterpillers:
Megan took them off the path and put them in the grass :)
I'm loving my new camera :) Check out that zoom!
Cathy and her family left a bit early for an appointment so we wandered over to where the big kids were. They were working on huts and I wanted to see what they had built. Mrs. Slone divided them up into three groups and they made huts with ponchos, but, of course, I didn't photograph those! UGH! I did, however, get these:

That shelter is Brandon's group which had Kyle and Luke in it. I thought each group had a different obstacle but they didn't. The only rule was it had to take under fifteen minutes. Each group had the same supplies and still each group built a different shelter. Cool! Next week they are building debris huts. They are going to have so much fun! There's a natural play area that they will be wandering into for that.
Nicholas was trying to sneak closer so he could hear what Mrs. Slone was saying:
Megan enjoyed the water for a while:
Oh, and fishing is allowed in that pond! Hmmm....
Looks like a great class! She is a wonderful teacher!
